Bell Woodturners is a member of the
American Association of Woodturners.
This month's [February] demonstrator will be Charles Watson doing a top.  In addition, we will be having a Q&A session so if you have any problems or challenging pieces, please bring them for a discussion at the meeting.  This Q&A session is part of our planned meeting this month.
The "Bread of Mighty" fundraiser is currently scheduled for May 3 at the trinity Methodist church on NW 53rd Ave at 11:00 am.
Last year the Bell Woodturners and others in the area donated over 60 bowls that raised approximately $4500 for the event.
  
In the five county area that the food bank serves, Alachua, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, and Lafayette, one in five families faces food insecurity. 

I invite the members to contribute any sort of bowls (only bowls) that they would like. They may bring them to any meeting and I will store them. Please have bowls to me by the April meeting, April 11.

Meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Thursday of each month starting at 7:00 PM at the Bell Community Center on Hwy 129  Bell, Florida.
This year, the club is supporting two community projects: one is making tops for the children at the Ronald McDonald House. You can participate by making tops like the ones that Charles will be demonstrating.  Remember tops are for children, and they should be large enough so that they can not be swallowed  - at least 1 1/2 inches in the smallest dimension.
